Silver Ash

Silver Ash (flindersia bourjotiana) is a rare timber from Queensland. It is a great furniture timber and has been used in the boat building industry for many years. Silver Ash glues well and is perfect for steam bending. As Silver Ash is a durable white timber it is suitable for piano wrest planks and drumsticks.

The Silver Ash Kirby Fine Timbers supplies is mostly from North Queensland plantations which are over 50 years old. Almost all of the Silver Ash is quarter sawn into 2 inch pieces, however, other furniture sizes such as 1inch boards, 4×4 inch posts and limited slabs are also available.
